Dessert Hummus
Dessert HummusChocolate Chip Cookie Dough Hummus
Serves 11 (about 2 tablespoons each).

All you need:
1 (15 oz can) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/3 cup all natural peanut butter
1/4 cup agave nectar
3 Tbsp quick cooking oats
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

All you do:
Process chickpeas, vanilla, peanut butter, agave nectar and oats in a sturdy food processor until very smooth. Using a spoon, mix in chocolate chips.

Mint Chocolate Chip Dessert Hummus
Serves 13 (about 2 tablespoons each).

All you need:
1 (15-oz can) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup cashew butter
1/4 cup agave nectar
1½ tsp mint extract
8 to 12 drops green food coloring, if desired
1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

All you do:
Process beans, cashew butter, agave nectar, mint extract and green food coloring in a food processor until smooth. Using a spoon, mix in chocolate chips.

Nutrition Facts per serving: 90 calories, 3.5g fat, 1g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 1mg cholesterol, 100mg sodium, 13g carbohydrate, 2g fiber, 8g sugar, 3g protein.

Daily values: 2% calcium, 4% iron.

Snickerdoodle Hummus

Serves 11 (2 tablespoons each).

All you need:
1 (15 oz can) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup creamy almond butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
½ (5.3 oz) container Hy-Vee 0% plain Greek yogurt
Toast, for serving

All you do:
Process chickpeas, vanilla, almond butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and yogurt in a sturdy food processor until very smooth. Serve on toast, if desired.

Nutrition Facts per serving: 110 calories, 4g fat, 0g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 0mg cholesterol, 15mg sodium, 17g carbohydrate, 3g fiber, 8g sugar, 4g protein.

Daily values: 6% calcium, 6% iron.


Peanut Butter Cup Hummus
Serves 9 (2 tablespoons each).

All you need:
1 (15 oz can) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1½ tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup all natural peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
2 tbsp cocoa
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

All you do:
Process chickpeas, vanilla, peanut butter, honey and cocoa in a sturdy food processor until very smooth. Using a spoon, mix in chocolate chips.
